Because of what happened, I am now minus 1K posts.

I don't know why he got rid of it though because if I remember correctly, post #'s weren't a big issue...:-/

People were posting stupid, pointless bull**** just to get their post number to increase.

I applaud TJ for taking the post number down. In a lot of peoples' minds, post totals=seniority on the board, so we were seeing a lot of garbage posts.

Absolutely.

What gets into people's heads with the post total is beyond me.

It's like some sort of self-validation or kiddie competition.

I agree about the them posting crap too get there post count up...but I was almost at 10,000! So I'm kind a ticked off. Meh.

I agree that posting totals are no big deal and that quality should come over quantity, but... I've been here almost three years and I don't even have 5,000 posts!
