I'm gonna configure my computer to record the episodes of The Golden Girls. (With the help of a TV Tuner Card). And I am planning to put them on dvd. I will be editing the commercials out.
I would like to share these, if they are decent. Well, here's the question, I see people on Ebay selling episodes on VHS. Should I sell episodes on DVD? Appreciate it, Yvette |

I've seen some sales go through on TV shows recorded for personal use, but I've also known people to lose their ebay membership because of trademark infringement.
One way people have gotten around it is to sell a pen, a book, a crayon... anything... but add the tapes as a "bonus" to the winner. So, technically you're buying the pen, but you're getting an extra something special for being the high bidder. I dunno what to tell you... I hope that gives you a bit of insight. And... welcome to the boards. |

Trademark...ahhh forgot about that.
I guess if I'm successful on burning them, I'll keep them to myself, or maybe share an episode on a peer to peer program for downloading. Yvette |

Ok when I get my TV Tuner Card in, and if everything works out, I would be happy to trade with all who wants to.
I will get back to this forum, once I know I successfully rip on dvd. These would be on dvdr-. Most of the new dvd players reads them, if not, the dvdrom of your computer should play it. I'll get back as soon as I can. Yvette |

Alright!!! I got the Tv tuner card today, hooked it up, practice with some movies, and now I'm getting ready to make Golden Girls dvd's. I don't know how long it will take me to download and convert into dvd....anyways...anyone ready to trade, please email me and please put in the subject line: Golden Girls, so that I know not to delete it. I will definetly share whatever I get.

I noticed that some of the replies are missing. I'm willing to share my downloads. This is not illegal, is it?? What would the difference be if you copied a tv program with a VCR???
Just wonderin' Yvette |
