Default Urkel vs Lowell

Bridging the gap from classic Wings to Miller-Boyett show, Family Matters, who's the better sidekick?
Lowell or Urkel?
Lowell Mather is a remedial genius (How can you truely be dumb when you need to re-build an airplane from the ground up?) and Steve Urkel is a nerdy young scientist (Yet he has an obsession with Laura Winslow and a cheese fetish).
Both have their own stigmas, Lowell being "dumb" and Urkel being a nerd.
Discuss!

Lowell is definitely better, but I must admit, I do have a soft spot for Steve Urkel. (As Brian would say, "So sue me!")

How come you didn't put Screech from Saved by the Bell on your list? I think he'd compare more with Antonio though. Both are lovable losers.

(Oh man, did I just admit that I still find Family Matters and Saved by the Bell watchable? Shut up, Kristen! Shut up!)

I didn't even think about it, but you're right!
Screech fits right into the oddball thing!

How random. I say Lowell. Urkel was just annoying.
