Did you know that Dana Plato tried out for the role of Regan in The Exorcist, and after she was turned down, 4 years later she got a role in it's sequel??? It's kind of interesting, and I remember her in the sequel, she played Sandra, an autistic girl.

I think that on Howard Stern's show, she claimed that she was offered the role in the first movie, but that her mother wouldn't let her take it. I don't know if this is true because she would have been extrememly young at the time.

I think I read she turned down the role in the first one or something like that.
