Default I'm ashamed to admit this

but I STILL don't have a DVD player. Well, my family doesn't. WE really need to get one. I actually stopped buying vhs tapes, but my mom keeps buying vhs movies she likes. I tell_her that's a waste of money, since we'll get a dvd player soon, but she says as long as she likes the movie and can watch it she'll get it. I'm probably the only one on this board who doesn't have a dvd player!

That's nothing to be ashamed of. Lots of people don't have a DVD player. It wouldn't hurt to start buying some DVDs though so when you do get a DVD player you will have something to watch.

I, personally, don't have a DVD player, but there is one in this house. There's also one on this computer. I will probably be getting one for Christmas. I only have about 10-15 DVDs. I'm still going to continue buying VHS's even when I have a DVD player, though.

phew! Now I don't feel so bad. Actually this summer I bought Ferris Bueller's Day Off in a Virgin megastore tent at a festival. That's one of my all time favorite movies and it was only 10 bucks! Plus, we don't have any regular virgin record stores where I live. That's the only movie I have on DVD. I know when I get one I have to get SBTB and Three's company first seasons for sure.

I just recently got one and the only reason I did is because my VCR broke. I actually got a DVD/VHS.

I don't have one either, but I will eventually get. I'm going to start buying DVD's. I think the first will be "Pirates Of The Caribbean".

I used to love DVD players, but now they just bug me. VCR's are so much easier. Just press "play". None of this fancy extra-feature type stuff (granted, some of it can be good) but really, DVD's are no big deal, IMO.

be careful about still buying VHSs because VCRs typically aren't built to last that long. They're built to last about five years, then you'll have to buy another one but with all of the DVD players being so popular, they're gonna stop making VCRs pretty soon.

I've got a DVD player, but to be honest, I still like my VCR better. Call me old fashioned.

My parents bought one a while ago and hardly ever use it. I have a Playstation 2 in my room and the only thing I use on that is the DVD player.

I guess I'm a little old fashioned, too, because I love my VCR. I'll be sad when they quit selling them.

I can't remember how I survived without my dvd player. I've only got around 200 dvds so I'm not a complete junkie, some people have collections in the thousands. But seeing how dvds have been a great catalyst in getting more and more tv shows released to the public, I just think the dvd revolution is heaven sent. I'll never go back to buying prerecorded vhs.

Don't be ashamed, you'll get one sooner or later......I got an actual dvd player about a year and a half ago for my b-day but then 11 months later i got a PS2 so we moved the dvd player to the living room and the ps2 is in my room.
