I was thinking about how lousy the last eps of FOL were, and I have a suggestion of an episode in the last season that could have ended the series.
After watching the "Jo's Wedding" episode, I had the idea that if the writers had to end the series, this could have been the one to do it. After all, Jo and Rick got married. Natalie and Tootie were in committed relationships. All were either in college or getting on with thier careers. Aside from Mrs.G, just about everyone, including Jo's parents were on the show. And finally, weddings have been one of the ways that writers have ended shows. I don't know about you, but for me this one had more of a "Last Episode" feeling to it, than the actual final shows. What do you think...if the series had to end, would Jo's Wedding been a good final episode? ------------------ Natalie: A flashback within a flashback..I'm so brillant it scares me [This message has been edited by triple19 (edited 03-07-2001).] |

It seemed to me that they ended according to each character rank. Tootie(heirloom ep) Natalie(Ny Episode) Jo(Wedding) and Blair(buying eastland) The show ended focusing on each character individually. Blair was there in the Beginning and the end.

One thing that I didn't get was that Tootie got married before Jo. There is 5 years between them, and Tootie got married one year before Jo! I just don't get it. Anyways, I really liked the Jo's wedding one. That was one of the only good last ones, except for..well..you know...The First Time.

CallmeTootie,
Sorry, but I have to make a correction here. Tootie didn't get married before Jo did. She and Jeff got engaged before Jo and Rick got married. However, they didn't tie the knot. They stayed engaged thru the end of the series. |
