Actor Jeremy Piven was awesome, even "real" Jer thought so.

TV GEORGE/charachter MICHAEL/actor PIVEN: "I can't remember my lines!!!"

JERRY: "Just relax, you'll be fine."

I actually liked Jeremy Piven's George as well, but Kramer was just mean and nasty. He was a bizarro Kramer.
