A beautiful tribute to "Whitey"....by a person who knew him and saw a side that is not being widely printed in the press.

Real good stuff. I really respect Stan. He was only one of the cast to my knowledge to take the time to post here. Also, its tough to admit making the wrong decisions in life and even tougher to break those bad lifelong habits. He did that and I applaud and admire him for having the inner strength to do so. Perhaps he accomplished this too late for his body but not for his soul.

I totally agree with you.

I am sorry that by the time I discovered this place, he was already gone. It would have been a pleasure and honor for me to be able to chat with him.

From his posts, and his honesty about his past, I have the greatest respect for him. He did not attempt to deny or ignore his short-comings, as far too many people tend to do nowdays.

I hope that many of us here will help Father Jim, in his efforts to show final respect for Stanley. Father Jim is a great man, and needs all the help he can get.

It's so sad that his siblings didn't seem to care. I wonder what caused the falling out.? Also it is sad that his love came after he died.

Just a day so ago saw Beaver and Whitey discussing Miss Landers engagement. Hard to think that little boy is dead.

hopefully we'll have more good news again soon concerning the Stanley Fafara "Whitey" memorial fund and it's new direction and possibly a benefit concert.

very disturbing!

I am hoping that it may be an error, and Jerry never got the message.

I would hate to think that Jerry has forgotten Stanley, and the times they worked together.

well both jeff and me tried contacting jerry through several sources and we never heard back. only tony dow made any contact about stan's death. we have not even been able to track down stan's brother luke. we are trying to turn the stanley fafara memorial fund into something that will help with burial expenses for other people who die in similar circumstances to stan (no family). i will post here again on the progress of this venture. plans are being put together for a tribute concert with funds going to the memorial fund, but it will take some time to get it all in place. we are still trying to get stan's belongings to his daughter.
