How California's Governor Recall Will Affect Primetime on Oct. 7 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It seems as if the California Recall Election will not affect John Ritter's final episode of 8 Simple Rules this Tuesday in California. Here are what the major ABC California Stations will be doing:

KABC, Los Angeles/Anaheim: 8-10pm sitcom line-up will air; 10-11pm Election Coverage, NYPD Blue pre-empted. NYPD Blue will be seen on Sunday, Oct. 12 late night at 12:35am.

KXTV, Sacramento: 8pm 8 Simple Rules will air, 8:30-11pm I'm With Her, According to Jim, Less Than Perfect, and NYPD Blue will be pre-empted for Election Coverage. All will air on Sunday, October 12:
3:00pm Less Than Perfect
4:00pm I'm With Her
4:30pm According to Jim
11:35pm NYPD Blue

KGO, San Francisco/San Jose/Oakland: 8-10pm sitcom line-up will air; 10-11pm Election Coverage. NYPD Blue will be seen on Sunday, Oct. 12 late night at 12:00am.

KGTV, San Diego: No changes, primetime will stay the same.

KFSN, Fresno: 8-10pm sitcom line-up will air; 10-11pm Election Coverage. NYPD Blue will be seen on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 11:35pm.

KEYT, Santa Barbara: No changes, primetime will stay the same.

KERO, Bakersfield: No changes, primetime will stay the same.

And of course updates will air throughout primetime in California, but I doubt they will during 8 Simple Rules.
The rest of the United States will be getting coverage on Nightline at 11:35pm ET. And a special edition at 2:35am ET/11:35pm PT.

Yeah, the polls won't close til 11pm ET which sucks for us East Coast people.

No it won't. The polls don't even close til 11pm ET/10 central and I know NBC is only going to do updates after that, not continous coverage. MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News Channel are the only national outlets that will be continous all night.
