If anyone watched Silver Spoons tonight, did you notice the sound of the music(when they went and came back to commercial or to a new scene) was the EXACT same as the Facts of Life in its final seasons? Interesting, eh? Just thought I'd pass that tidbit on.

Yes I noticed that also! I never noticed it when I saw SS in syndication about 8-9 years ago. That last episode they showed with Matthew Perry and Rob Stone was from first run syndication though so I don't think it was NBC's music.

Or did FOL take it from Silver Spoons? When did FOL start using it?

I've know for a while that FOL and SS used the same music. I have other episodes of SS with the FOL ending during the last seasons.
