Angry I am NOT happy!

Hello, all.

The main idea of this post was going to be to ask for your opinions on tonight's episode of "Ed", but the more I think about it, the more I realize that I just want to vent a bit! (Feel free to put in your own opinions, though!)

I thought the whole premise of "New Car Smell" was a great idea to shake "Ed" up a bit, but one part disturbed me. I think this show is RUINED!

Here's the thing. Ed and Carol's relationship CAN'T LAST. C'mon...let's face it. Nobody wants to see them together. But after doing an episode like tonight's, I have a feeling that NOBODY will EVER want to see the two as love-birds again! They're relationship is SO BAD that when they finally get together for real (...we all know that's going to happen...) it won't be as awesome. The whole Ed-Carol thing is now ruined for me!

Opinions?

Later.

I'm not sure what you mean.
"finally get together for real"? and "we all know that's going to happen"?

It looked like they finally did get together for real.
First they got over the intimacy and expectation thing and had great sex (episode 1) and then they moved together in and overcame their pettiness (episode 2).

Are you saying that they are going to break up soon?

I don't think so, since the episode ended on a resolution and there is nothing to point to it going bad in the near future.

Hello, dlemond!

I don't know for sure, but it doesn't seem like this relationship is going to last too long! It just doesn't seem right. How are they gonna end this show if Ed and Carol are already together?

The lovey-dovey thing isn't what I expected at all!

I'm sorry to say it, but I didn't like this weeks episode at all. I thought it was boring. I hope they don't spend the entire season on the Ed and Carol relationship. I think the problem is that Ed and Carol were brought together because Ed was in danger of being cancelled and maybe the writters don't know what to do with them now. Next week's show looks better. I hope it is.

Hey, Mr. Roper!

I'll have to agree. I didn't really like it much, either. Kinda boring.

Next weeks episode DOES look good, though. I think that for Ed to get back on track, it has to start doing some more episodes about Ed's cases and stuff like that. If the Ed/Carol thing is gonna stay in place for the moment, it should take a back seat.

I thought the episode was okay....Mike had some great lines about marriage and relationships in general.

I may be wrong but for the most part, shows like this don't last all that long anyway. I'm figuring five seasons tops for Ed....I'm not saying it should go off the air, I just think it will.

One character I would like to see in the show again is the Driving Instructor guy.....I thought he was hilarious.

Well, we'll just see what happens tonight, I guess! I sure hope Ed gets back to the way it used to be! Be sure to watch! I'll report back when it's over.

Being a Red Sox fan, I HAD to watch the Sox/Yankees game. I will see the Ed episode on Thursday as I recorded it. I do know it must have been good as I could hear my wife upstairs laughing and talking to the TV.....she's weird like that.

A RED SOX FAN??? OH, NO! EVIL!!! STAY AWAY!!! LOL...

I'm a HUGE Yankee fan! I was flipping back and forth during commercials, but the Yanks were losing, so I decided to stick with Ed!!!

Okay, I saw the episode on Thursday morning. Maybe something is wrong with me but I thought the ep. was very good. I liked how Ed, even though he disagreed with Carol's actions regarding Warren, still went to her defense and proved his feelings by sticking by her side. I would do that for my wife as she does a lot of weird stuff but is a great person. The race horse part was hilarious, especially Ed & Mike running the track.

I still haven't given up on the show, but I really think the show has lost alot of it's charm. Now that they've gotten Carol and Ed together, maybe now they can bring the fun back into the show, but it may be too late. Sorry to say this, but this may be the last season for "Ed."

Also, did anyone notice how the promos for this week's episode tried to make it look like Carol was in serious jeopardy? You would think she was fighting for her life or something!

"Ed" should be promoted by the networks based on its comedic elements. I've always thought of the show as a comedy with drmatic elements.

I haven't even bothered to watch Ed yet this season. I'm just sick of this whole Ed & Carol relationship. They have zero chemistry, IMHO. Plus, Warren and Phil have gotten on my nerves so bad that I was hitting the mute button whenever they were onscreen. I just can't stand to watch anymore. I loved Ed the first two seasons, but I just can't stand watching it anymore.

Goodbye, Ed! It was nice watching you for a little while. Dump Carol, Phil, and Warren and maybe I'll tune in again.

Aw c'mon, Warren and Phil are funny!

As much as I like the character of Eli, I don't like the fact that he's pretty much replaced Phil at Stuckeybowl.
