Default Opening Credits?

I think I probably already know the answer to this, but just to get other peoples' takes on this.. why do you think the opening credits have not run the past two weeks?

The answer is it's probably out of respect for John. They want to make these episodes different to a certain capacity, and by not including the opening theme, they're showing respect for him..?

Anyone else have any ideas?

Default it's probably

I'm guessing they haven't played the opening because of the introduction by Katey Sagal to save time

I thought they were changing who was talking also. Maybe the kids weren't able to get through it because they were having a tough time talking before.

That's what I thought too. Her introduction ran for about the same length of time as last season's regular opening credits, so you've most likely got it right.
