REGIS PHILBIN GUEST STARS ON ABC'S NEW HIT SITCOM, "HOPE & FAITH," IN NOVEMBER SWEEPS

Daytime kingpin Regis Philbin ("Live with Regis & Kelly") moonlights in primetime with his morning co-host, Kelly Ripa, as well as Faith Ford on the new TGIF hit comedy, "Hope & Faith," to air in November sweeps. In the forthcoming episode, Regis will play used-car salesman Handsome Hal Halverson, who auditions Kelly's character to appear in his local TV commercial. The exact airdate is TBD. "Hope & Faith" airs Fridays (9:00-9:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"Hope & Faith" premiered last week as the highest-rated program among the coveted Adults 18-49 demo (4.7/15) for the night, and garnered approximately 12 million viewers, the most successful Friday night debut on ABC since "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" in 1996. The series is produced by Touchstone Television.

"Car Commercial" -- Two-time Emmy winner and legendary talk show host Regis Philbin joins ABC Television's hit sitcom, "Hope & Faith," in a guest-starring role in November sweeps. In the episode, Philbin plays Handsome Hal Halverson, a used car salesman who hires Faith to co-star in his commercial in exchange for a free car. He soon discovers he got more than he bargained for when Faith tries to upstage him. Meanwhile, Hope is confident that Charley will remember the anniversary of their first kiss, on "Hope & Faith," FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7 (9:00-9:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"Hope & Faith" stars Faith Ford as Hope, Kelly Ripa as Faith, Ted McGinley as Charley, Nicole Paggi as Sydney, Macey Cruthird as Hayley and Paulie Litt as Justin.

Guest stars are Regis Philbin as Handsome Hal Halverson, Tonye Patano as receptionist, Christopher Jewett as director and Michael Bachmann as the fan.

"Car Commercial" is written by Taylor Hamra; the director is Gil Junger.
