I've never seen the movie, I want to though. What's so great about it?

It depicts the struggle of so many immigrants in the U.S. They come here with the intensions of living the American Dream, the honest way, the legal way. But as immigrants, they have limited opportunities, and the illegal way is the faster road to living the dream, if not, the only road.

His courage, and strength got him the money, fast. He started living his fantasy, but his own money, and poison started to kill him. The immigrant who started off with nothing, and later got everything, died with NOBODY, all the things he REALLY loved were gone. Getting closer to his death, you can see in his eyes that he yearned for the simple life, the life were Gina was alive, and Monolo was the best pal. His American Dream killed him- money, power, and success were only material items, it wasn't what he really wanted, initially.

He was a guilty criminal, but at the same time, the innocent victim of America.

It's so hard to explain "Scarface," it touches people's lives differently. If you are what America calls a "minority," you will see a little bit of you in Tony Montana.

You know, maybe when it was released it may have been ultra violent for that time, but I was expecting a lot more violence based on what I heard. I bought the dvd the day it was released and that was my first time seeing it, but maybe from seeing other movies, I was desensitized. It was a good movie though.
