Default So how long do you think the show will last now???

now that john is gone how long do you think the show will last?

My guess is it'll finish season 2 but it won't make it through the third one...

I also believe there won't be a third season because there will always be something lost and different in the show itself.

I can't say until I see some of the episodes without John. The season premiere though was there highest rated episode.

I agree. It seems like it won't be able to last long, but we really don't know what the producers have planned, how everyone else will respond, and how low the ratings have to go before ABC cans it (given the state ABC is in right now). So...I guess I just don't know at this point.

I have no idea. You never know, it might last and I hope it does.

I hope the show does last for awhile. The greatest tribute to John might be if this show remains successful. But it will be a different show without him. It'll go from being a show about a father trying to deal with his teenage daughters to being about a widowed mother trying to raise three teenagers. Some things will probably be the same. But we won't know until the episodes air.

Thumbs up

I say that if fans stop tuning in to the show, it would be like turning our backs on John's extended family. John took them, especially the kids, under his wings and now it's up to us fans to keep supporting them. He would be disappointed otherwise! Make sure you keep watching the show!

My initial reaction was that it was terrible to go on with the show without John. But it is a good point that it would be a tribute to John to continue watching. Still, it will be very sad and how this will work in the long run we will have to see.

To Freekzilla and Seuss: I totally agree with you. Couldn't have said it better myself. I'm anxious to see how the future episodes turn out.
