Since i have (almost) every TC-episode on VHS, and since I heard that Nick@Nite cuts the best parts out of "up in the air", I took the time today and recorded the full John Ritter dance scene to an avi-file on my comp and loaded it on my webspace for you guys to download.
In order to watch this file you must have the latest (!) DivX-Version installed on your PC (which is 5.05), otherwise the picture will freeze at the very beginning. as you've probably noticed (or not ) i live in germany, therefore the scenes are taken from the german version of the show (the only difference is that they dubbed the voices over) and from a german tv station (that doesn't cut anything out of the episodes). but I don't think that it'll matter very much, cuz I think the dance scene is focused on John's visual commedy talents Downloads grab the full dance scene here (10,7 MB) grab the latest divx 5.0.5 here (3,8 MB) have fun

Thanks for the clip, TheBert. It was interesting to hear Jack and Janet's voice dubbed in German as well.

ok... to extract the file you need winzip. you can download it at www.winzip.com
just follow the instructions to install it. when the installation is finished, double click on the file and winzip should be loaded. then click "extract" and choose the folder where you want the video to be saved. after that you can delete the .ZIP file and (if you have divx installed properly) with a double click on the .AVI file the movie should load. |

Okay, beckyc and anyone else that can't get it, I just figured out how to get it! Just because you have DivX downloaded doesn't mean that it's formally installed on your computer.
When you downlaod the scene and get the window at the end that says "dancescene", if you have the Windows Media logo as the icon, you don't have DivX installed. Just right-click the program and tell it to open with DivX (you might have to look under "browse"). You'll get the setup screen for the program. After you have that installed, the windows icon should change to a picture of Jack scratching his nose (or whatever it is he's doing). Then you can set it to open with Windows Media Player like before and it should work fine. There might be another step in there that I haven't mentioned but it's pretty easy to figure out what you need to do if you've downloaded things before. Hope this helps!
