"Harper House" bedroom poll

If you visited the Harpers, where in the house would you most like to sleep?

And while we're on the subject, it isn't so odd that the only bedroom we never see (not countin' Iola, who doesn't live there) is Mama's, the overbearin' matriarch and freakin' star of the show?! lol

I sometimes still can't believe we never saw her room!

I think it'd be fun to sleep in the basement on that "lumpy sleeper sofa!", lol, but I'd probably pick Bubba/Frannie's room first. Just cause it's an upstairs room, and has a nice "stay here" feel, lol (though I could do without the paisley pink flowers!)

No basement for me! Any basement that I have been in is usually crawling with critters!(spiders, bugs, mice, etc)


I would have loved to have seen Mama's room though. Wait a minute! Wasn't that Mama's room that Naomi and Eunice were in getting ready for the wedding?(the sapphire ring incident?) I always assumed that that was Mama's room.

And another thing. ..... Mama raised 3 children in that house. Where did they sleep?

Lol, yeah, I see your point on the basement! Though Mama was all about "clean", so maybe it was a pretty nice basement.

About the "mysterious wedding bedroom", lol, I always thought it was Frannie's room (before it got the "new look" in the syndicated years). Cause it's pink, and I can't really see Mama invitin' Naomi to get ready in her room---but I can see Frannie bein' more hospitable to Naomi.

Though it also coulda been Sonja's room (Fran's ex-studio), maybe...it did look a bit small, so who knows? But, from my viewpoint, I'd say it's most likely Frannie's room, possibly Sonja's, but probably not Mama's. lol

Now about your question...well, Mama & Carl had their room, Fran's studio was Eunice and Ellen's room, so I guess that meant that Vint got spoiled with the bigger-than-the-studio-but-smaller-than-Mama&Carl's-room room that was later Fran's (lol)---y'know, if ya think of it that way, no wonder Ellen and Eunice were sometimes mean to him! lol
