Default Abduction of Jacob Wetterling

I have read a few posts saying that this case was featured on unsolved Mysteries. I don't recall seeing it. Does anyone remember what year it was on?

I have a suspician that if this did air, it is another one of those weirdo episodes that Lifetime doesn't show.

I'm not completely sure that the story was aired on Unsolved Mysteries, but for some reason it seemed to me like it was profiled at some point. Some people have said that they seem to remember a case similar to what I described. In other words, I'm not really sure.

I am one of those who SWEARS to have seen this on UM. The way the whole story was re-enacted was very UM and not AMW. I will poke around to see what "proof" I can find.

I have emailed the jacob Wetterling Foundation and asked them if his story aired on UM or not. The debate was eating at me.....AGH! I hope to receive a reply very soon.

Here is the reply I got back which should clear everything up.

Thank you for contacting the Jacob Wetterling Foundation. Jacob's story
was
never on Unsolved Mysteries as they believed there was not enough
information for them to solve it.

Thank you for your question.

Sincerely,

Newly poured cement in his basement (on top of all that other stuff), and they didn't find any human remains.

The only thing I can come up with for "newly poured cement" in a basement is repairing sewer lines or something very similar. Otherwise, the only other cases I've heard of like this had the fresh cement covering the body of the murder victim.

I wonder if it's possible that the man had the body there at one time, feared he would be caught, and then removed the body and replaced the cement.

He sure does have an awful lot going against him. The child pornography in his bed, showing up with "psychic information" in the Wetterling search, the death bed confession, a collection of flyers and news articles about missing kids, plus all his sex toys.

If he wasn't a kiddie killer, it seems like he wanted to be.
