there was a rumor (sounds true though) that it was because they had creative differences with Nia Vardalos

Considering that the show changed alot from the movie 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding'- which Nia worked hard at, then that sounds very true.

But didn't My Big Fat Greek Life slump in ratings after a while? I can't remember but was it also made fun off at the emmy's? I know that the guy from Everybody Loves Raymond made fun of a few shows (Baby Bob being one).
