Question When did David and Darlene get together?

Just curious I never watched the show cuz I was only little and never understood it but now I love all of the shows on N@N and TV Land. I have only seen the episodes where Darlene are together, broken up, or married. What episode did they actualy tell each other that they liked each other?

The 4th season was the first encounter I believe... Becky had been dating Mark for a while, and all of the sudden during the episode called "The Bowling Show" during the closing credits the Connors return home and he is sitting on the couch. His real name was Kevin, but Darlene changed it to David. They eventually in the 5th season after Becky and Mark got married and went to Minneapolis got together because David was going to have to leave to go live with his abusive mother in Michigan, but the Connors took him in.

Darlene didn't change his name, that was just a joke! They first started dating before he moved in, in the 5th season.

Sheesh, didn't mean to strike a nerve!

Well how then did his name get from Kevin to David?

Actually, Darlene and David got together before Mark and Becky got married. They met towards the end of season 4, and Darlene metioned to him, "Didn't we have detention together once?"

They were friends for a couple episodes first, apparently good friends because the episode where they officially hooked up all revolved around Darlene deciding whether or not she wants to date David because he was such a good friend and she didn't want to lose him. (Remember how ticked off Roseanne was when Darlene asked Dan and Becky for advice and not her?)

Several episodes later, Becky and Mark got married.

I don't think the Kevin to David thing was a joke. It was referenced on two separate occasions on the show that Darlene had changed his name.

The funny part was that when Becky and mark started dating Roseanne said something like "I hope he doesn't have a little brother to come over and start dating Darlene."

I always wondered if this was where they got the idea for David.
