Default Cody Loves Dana

What happened to the running gag they used the first season of Step by Step, when Cody had a crush on Dana and was always chasing after her. It was similar to the whole Steve Urkel/Laura thing on Family Matters. I noticed they hastily ended this in season 2. Cody still irritated Dana, but no longer came on to her.

I don't remember seeing that episode. Does anyone know what the title was?

Default I Was Bound To Happen

I swear one day, it was bound to happen. Dana and Cody getting together?!!! Of course, I heard they kissed or something in the very last episode.

I loved the episode "My Bodyguard", where Cody dreamed that Dana was going to get atttacked by a "guy in a dark suit". But she disregards it as a lie. But later on, she does get attacked by a guy at the bus station, and Cody comes in and kicks the guy's ass in almost.

I loved how Dana broke down crying in Cody's arms at one point in that scene.

Anyone agree with me about the sexual tension between them?

Maybe Cody realized she was more like family than girlfriend.
If he's JT's cousin, then he's 'almost' Dana's cousin too.

Yeah, I really liked the Dana/Cody relationship. I've noticed in a few eps, it was evident that she cared about him. My favorite was when Dana thought she was allergic to Cody, but still didn't want to leave.

I do have a question about that though. How came later on, in season 7 when Cody returns from his world travels, she acts like she DOES want him to leave? Either the writers made a mistake there, or Dana found out that Cody was a wife-beater. Lol.

Thumbs up

I thought that they should've gotten together because they shared awesome chemistry. I totally loved how Cody never stopped pursuing Dana, even though she was so mean to him--That guy just never stopped! But then again, they were stepcousins. They weren't related by blood but they were still in the same family by marriage. Even though they made a cute couple, I'd feel kinda iffy if there really was a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship between them on the show.

I'm Glad they stopped that actually.

They may not Be Related By Blood, But They are Step Cousins. That would be kinda creepy if they hooked up.

I do agree with your point. But there were a lot of storylines pertaining to the relationship between both characters even after the first season when Cody did pursue Dana. You could tell that Cody still really liked Dana and that Dana appreciated Cody more as the series went on and it was kind of cute, but I guess they just stayed friends. Still, I think that Cody and Dana had a great relationship and it seemed like Cody was closer to Dana than the other Fosters.

Dana always acted this way toward's Cody. It was not a mistake. I don't think she ever really meant it though. I always did wish though that Cody and Dana would have ended up together on the show just like Steve Urkel did with Laura on Family Matters.

Same here, but then again if they did end up together it would feel so...wrong. Both Dana and Cody were still part of the Foster-Lambert clan. Cody really was part of the family, as opposed to later characters such as Jean-Luc and Rich who were more like everyday visitors.

I don't know if Cody and Dana should've ended up together, but I would've liked to see a stronger relationship between them. I didn't enjoy watching Dana's relationship with Rich.

Same here! First they totally hated each other, then all of a sudden they fall in love. I really did not like when they did this and when I saw this episode when Step by Step had surprisingly returned in the Spring of 1997, and I knew right there and then it just wasn't the same show anymore. The kids were all older and most of them were out of High School, Cody was no longer there, and that new guy Jean Luc really had no personality whatsoever.
