What's the deal with Richie? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Does anyone know why Richie was hardly ever on towards the end? The last season of FM he was only in 3 episodes, and he wasn't even in the season finale. They'd still show 3J, but not Richie. I think it was odd that he was still living in the house, but we never saw him. It was like they kept him in his room all the time those last few years.

I've noticed that too. Maybe after Rachel came back for Christmas, he moved to Detroit with her. Just a thought.

Judy Winslow(Family Matters),
Chuck Cunningham(Happy Days),
Brendon Lambert(Step by Step)
Lilly Foster Lambert(Step by Step) She lived there but was hardly ever seen.
Nikki Coleman(Saved by the Bell)
and all the rest that suddenly disappear from a tv show without any given reason.

Least they could have done was give a better reason or yet explain why he wasn't on much.

You can add Sonja and Buzz harper(from Mama's family) to that list.

Least Gary Marshall give an explination as to why Chuck Cunningham disappeared when people asked what happen to Chuck, Gary would reply he got a 12 year basketball scholorship to outer Mongolia. Which I find that funny, now had he said 11 years or 10 years it would have been perfect since the show was on for 11 years and he played on the show 1 season.

I know he was in both the Christmas and Halloween episodes. Also he was in the episode where Steve can read minds, him and 3J were in the Club Scouts with Carl as their leader. What was the other episode he was in?

I'm just surprised that he wasn't with the family watching the tv to see if Steve will be alright on the finale. Doesn't he care about him?
