Default Flip or Flop?

I watched the 1st episode and it was pretty good. To anybody else who seen it, do you think it'll flip or flop?

It was great, especially the food fight scene! I'm not sure which is better yet--I'm With Her or Hope & Faith! Both have impressed me.

Last night's TGIF block was off to a good start, #1 among viewers 18-49 and second overall; mainly because of George Lopez and Hope & Faith. CBS's dramas were #1, but are aimed for older viewers. As for NBC, what a bad move by moving Law & Order: SVU to Tuesdays, Alicia Silverstone's show didn't do anything. FOX was a dud, Luis might be the first new sitcom canceled I think now.

Default No doubt about it, this show's a hit!

I watched "Hope and Faith" last night and I liked it so much that I am willing to go out on a limb and say that this is definitely THE best new sitcom of the season. Of course, I said the same thing about "8 Simple Rules" last year---and I was right!!! To me, this show seems to be a combination of "8 Simple Rules" and "Laverne and Shirley", which can only be good! The one objection I have is that I wish that Kelly Ripa's character would be a little less on the dense side in future episodes. Some of her lines made Kelly Bundy seem like a genius by comparison. And, like many others, I enjoyed the food fight scene. It brought a much-needed touch of slapstick and physical humour which is sadly missing from most of today's sitcoms, who tend to over-emphasize verbal humor in going for more cheap laughs. Happily, I have read in "Entertainment Weekly" that "Hope and Faith" will continue to provide more physical stunts, depending on the situation that the two female leads find themselves in. In short, this looks like a winner to me without any doubt at all.

Ted McGinley can finally relax---and break out the "Shark" repellent to celebrate his good fortune!

Flip. I thought it was good. Pretty funny. This show has tons of stuff to play off of. I agree with Sal on Kelly Ripa's character, though the character is quite hilarious being a little dumbed down and self-absorbed. They kind of overdid it with Faith Ford's Hope being a prude and what-not, but hopefully that fades a little bit. I'm pretty sure though, the pilot was mainly to let us see just how different the two sisters are, which is why their characteristics seem to take over. Anyone with me on that? lol. I can't wait to watch next week. The description looks good.
