Unable to win 'Lainie's love, Russell Dalrimple goes off & joins Greenpeace in order to impress.
At the very end of the epi, Russell is shown slipping off of a Greenpeace inflatable (raft/boat) & out of reach, presumably drowning:

>>>(Russell fell off the boat but still hangs on to a rope. The other man, still in the boat is screaming to him and holds the rope.)
MAN: Keep fighting matey! Get your head above the water! I've got you matey! I've got you! Matey! (he loses the rope) I'll remember her name! Elaine Benes! I'll write to her. I'll tell her all about you and what you did out here! Goodbye, matey! Goddbye!

(we see the script of the pilot 'Jerry' floating on the ocean)

(roll credits-end of the show)<<<

Here's my question:
What was it later that they showed that let us know Russell survived that incident???

There was something, but I can't remember, & it's a tough one to look up. There was some mention of him in a later episode, & I would really like to find what it was. Was it something 'Stu Crespi" said?...

Any clues, figured you cats would remember something.

I dont think there was anything else from Russell.

I didnt know if he lived or died but I do not think he was ever mentioned again. I know Crespy was in 2 more episodes but I do not think they mentioned russel.

I think you all are right, & that's why I can't come up with the reference.
It's a question a bud of mine is trying to stump me on... I think he may be wrong, & that Russell did croak then, never to be SeinMentioned again. You folks confirmed my suspicion.
I'll post results here when we finish our debate.
