Default Why is Nick@Nite doing this??!!

WHY oh WHY is Nick@Nite screwing everything up for Three's Company?? It's not only skipping good episodes(making me lose track) but it's showing only ONE episode at like 4am. What kind of dumb s*** is that?? They just recently had a poll and Three's Company was up there on the top three most watched shows. What's up with that?? Haven't we all had enough of that Roseanne?? Geez!! I'm like really upset right now I could cry!! I really hope Tv Land buys the show and can air them. Atleast tv land doesn't screw up!!

I'd like it on TVLand because it would fit in better with the shows.

I'm more upset with the shows being edited, personally. That edit in "Up In The Air" involved absolutely no thought process whatsoever.

A few months ago, I had a horrible thought that someday TC wouldn't be on any stations anywhere, especially when I heard that N@N was bringing in Roseanne and Full House. I thought "oh great, no more TC. I cant go without TC. So I started to record the episodes. At first it looked like N@N was showing them in order, I thought "sweet", but then they started to skip a couple episodes here and there. And now to find out how much they edit, taking out tag scenes and important parts just pisses me off!!!!!! I really hope all the seasons come out on DVD eventually. The whole N@N thing is BS.

That's the short scene that comes between the last commercial and the closing credits...sort of an "afterward".

Most of the time you don't really NEED that tag scene to tell the story, and the tag is usually the first thing to go when the show is being shortened for syndication (to allow time for more commercials). However, many of those tag scenes have some good laughs and are quite funny....It's nice to have them when we can!

I agree with you all!! I just recently started recording Three's Company on Nick@Nite(although with all those commercials especially the commercial about the dumb Roseanne makeunder)and it sucks to know that Nick@Nite is going to do this. And to top it all off, since when is Roseanne better than Three's Company?? I'm not trying to diss Roseanne but c'mon, Three's Company is classic!! It's like one messed up thing after another.

Default they do own it

TVLand and Nick at Nite are sister stations. Nick at Nite owns TVLand so its not like TVLand would have to pay to get it. I think TVLand likes to keep really old shows from like 1970 and back even tho some r from the mid seventies. TC went into the 80's. I think they might wait a while before TVLand picks it up but they definitely should. It would raise ratings especially now....

i heart TC

I agree with all of you Three's Company is better then Roseanne but N@N needs to make changes eventually. N@N is for the modern TV Classics TC should defintly go to TV Land.

I, of course, prefer "Three's Company" to "Roseanne," but arguing over which is the "better" show is (always) a futile endeavor, I feel. Like it or not, "Roseanne" earned its right to be there and is considered by many to be a "classic sitcom."

My only gripes are that (a) 3C has to fall by the wayside now that "Roseanne" is coming and (b) "Roseanne" feels too new to be on Nick At Nite. In the '80s, Nick At Nite was airing shows from the '50s and up. It seems like they had a more varied palate back then and didn't always go for the obvious "big hits." I think they abandoned this ethic somewhere down the line. Other than 3C, I can't think of any other '70s shows that N@N is carrying. And they've certainly given the '60s and '50s the shaft now. Plus, the more obscure shows they carry end up at 4 a.m. or worse.

I remember Nick At Nite getting "The Wonder Years" (a good show) only a few seasons after it was cancelled. It always struck me as a supremely odd move. Maybe that was the beginning of the end.
