Bob Murphy retires as sportscaster for the Mets
I saw it on the news right before the Mets final season against the Pirates. They announced that Bob Murphy will be retired after the game. I saw that on TV for the ceremony of Bob Murphy's farewell speech on TV. I was sad that he is gone for good and looking forward to new things. He is only 78 years old. He was a Mets sportcaster when he started in 1962. That's 42 years ago. Check out this article of a sad one.
