Default Zack's changing physique

Watching all of the Saved By The Bell episodes, I noticed that Zack seemed to go back and forth from thin to buff. In the first season, he hadn't hit puberty so he was naturally skinny and short. In the early sophomore year episodes, he had put on a little more muscle. By the end of the sophomore year, he was skinny again. Around the time when he and Kelly broke up, he was muscular but in last junior year episodes and the summer episodes with the Carosi's, again he's thin. In the Hawaii movie, he was almost as big as Slater but during the senior year episodes, he was as skinny as Screech. By the college years, he reached his peak in bulk and was buffer than Slater, but during the Wedding movie, he had trimmed down again. Did anyone else notice this? Was this planned or does Mark-Paul have some kind of health problem?

Just because they are in the freshman, sophmore years doesn't mean that they were filmed at those times. They all aired at different times. If you read back the graduation special was filmedway before it actually aired.

Zack looked bast when he was really buffed. Toward the end of the series, he was bigger and way more muscular than Slater. It sort of made Mario Lopez's role as the tough jock muscle man seem strange, when Mark was smarter than Slater, and at the same time looked like he could easily kick his ass.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar changed his hair to brown when the series was over and got into shape by martial arts, weightlifting, and other sports.

I agree with Sitcom Analyzer... Zack was not as muscular as Slater, he was just fat, husky fat.

Fat? No way. Zack was solid muscle in the last years of SBTB and during the College Years. Mario Lopez fans just couldn't take the fact that Mark was always better looking than Mario, and now he had a better body too.

I totally agree. Being into fitness myself, I can certainly tell you that Zack does not have a better body than Slator. Slator more defined and Zackis just bulk.
