Just going with these 4 big bands here - Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones and The Who- which do you feel is the most underated album?

What about these underrated soul albums like the Stylistics, Blue Magic and Issac Hayes?

All of Michael Nesmiths' solo albums, the Monkees' Changes, and Dolenz, Jones, Boyce, and Hart's album.

There are dozens of underrated albums from the 70s, I just wanted your opinion on these.
Any thoughts on these albums too. |

Actually,I've never heard any of those albums you listed. I know of the artists but none of their music. |

I would definitely say "Black and Blue" by the Rolling Stones.

I voted Presence. I think "The Who By Numbers" is a better offering for an underrated 70's Who album personally. Everyone knows "Who Are You" thanks to CSI, while By Numbers is more of the "forgotten" 70's album like how Presence and Black And Blue are for Zep and Stones

There 70's were a productive time for the above bands, but oddly, some low points after some huge successes. Let's see: Who Are You -- the last album with Keith Moon, also the most polished of the Who albums in the 70's. Black and Blue --Love "The Hand of Fate", but not a huge hit for the Stones, I wonder if a suggestive S & M ad killed sales for the LP... Animals--Pink Floyd's concept album where people were more like animals portrayed therein... Kind of a low point between "Wish You Were Here" and "The Wall", two of their best albums after"DSOM"... Presence--Kind of a "thrown-together" album for Led Zeppelin. |

Disco Tex and the Sex-O-Lettes shouldn't leave anyone wondering, that's for sure.
