Was the Time Period on Laverne and Shirley 1956 to - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

1963? I think Happy Days was 1954-1964 so i was wondering was 56-63 the period for L&S?

Let's see ... in the beginning sequences of the last season (1982-1983), there's a crowd in front of a banner reading 1967. Think of the line "Mak ... ing ... our dreeeeeeeeeeeeeeams ... coooome truuuuuuuue!" (with "making our" being third-notes in a triad). So that would make 1967 as the final year for our bottlecappers--oops, they were in California by then, so I should say giftwrappers! (Remember Bardwell's!)

If the show lasted from 1976-83, that would mean that the timeframe for Laverne and Shirley started in either 1959 or 1960.

L&S are supposed to be ages 21 thru 28

First season, Shirley has her 3 year highschool reunion
Fillmore Class of 1956

They arrived in California in time for
New Year's Eve , Happy 1965!
(L&S kiss the Beatles poster -- Beatles hit it big in USA 1964)

They return to their 10 year highscool reunion in 1966
(when they get invitation in mail, L&S talk about being 27 years old and feeling so old)
