Has anyone heard of or seen the following British comedy shows? Was wondering if any of the respective DVDs were worth picking up...
- 'Happiness' with Paul Whitehouse of The Fast Show - 'Marion and Geoff' - 'Dr Terrible's House of Horrible' starring Steve Coogan - 'Human Remains' - 'The Kumars at Number 42' - 'Look Around You' How bout the film 'Cruise of the Gods' starring Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan? Need some more britcoms to tide me over until the new DVDs of The Office, Alan Partridge, League of Gentlemen and Phoenix Nights comes out. |

I've heard of "Happiness" and "The Kumars at No. 41" is actually becoming an American show called "The Ortegas" so I'd say get The Kumars.

Happiness is comedy drama rather than straight comedy. I would say if you liked The Fast Show you should enjoy it (I hated both!), but it co-stars Johnny Vegas, so opinion is split. I can't stand the sight of the man, others think he's hilarious, but he's a real love or hate character, so he could likely be what makes or breaks the show for you. The others you mention are very much in the same mold. I don't like any of them except The Kumars, which can be very good. Depends a lot on the guests though!
