What episode is this scene from? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Not sure of the particulars, it just shows the group working out to music from a tape recorder. It's a short scene, and from the syndication years. I'm not sure why, but I always meant to watch that ep/scene again for some reason, but I recorded over it...

Ummmm, oh gosh. I'm not sure. The only tape recorder episode I can recall is "Naomi and the Obscene Call", but they don't work out to music on one there. And that was during the NBC years. The only other working out episode I can remember is the one where Vint, Naomi and Bubba run that 5K (or 10K) run thing...but I don't think they worked out to music.

bb25, the episode you're askin' about is "Mama and the Golden Arm", where each member of the family (and Iola) coach Mama in a specific area to warm her up for an arm wrestlin' competition at the Bigger Jigger.

Naomi takes Mama through exercise routine, and the others join in---and as they work out to the music, Naomi yells out, "And REACH!.....REACH!.....FEEL the burn! FEEL the burn!"

Yep, that's the one! I was thinking it would be an episode like that, but I couldn't remember which one!

Yep, that's it, thanks guys! I do believe I erased and went over that ep though...have to just wait and watch it again...if anyone can find out the exact airdate, I'd appreciate it!

It should be airing in 2 weeks - I am thinking MAYBE October 6th, since they just started airing the syndicated eps today.

Actually, I discovered that I did have this ep, just on a different tape that I don't watch very much. But, the VCR I originally recorded them on has made them all turn out pretty crappy - dirty heads and no 19-micron heads I suppose. 19-micron really makes a difference in EP mode... so, I plan on re-doing them with my new Sony VCR and have the whole show on tape the next few weeks

Wouldn't ya know it, the "Bonita Rokiki" ep hit a bad spot on the tape...I'll have to re-do that one for the 3rd time next time around...
