Hey guys, can anybody tell me if Lucy and Desi were republicans or democrats?

I'm not asking what YOU are..so don't try to start a fight! lol

I've just always wondered that...

I don't know about Desi Arnaz,Sr (or, for that matter, their progeny progeny), but Lucy told at least one biographer that after that catastrophic HUAC investigation in 1953 [that she was cleared by- in which she testified to registering Communist in 1936 to humor her ailing grandfather Fred 'Daddy' Hunt,] that she NEVER voted again because she was too spooked to have any kind of misunderstanding about her voting record happen again!

I think they said that Lucy wasn't political at all.

That's correct, she hung out with Republicans like Hope and the ex Presidents, but she wanted NOTHING to do with politics after her communist scare. She did sometimes express her thoughts about America though, once blasting Rona Barrett for suggesting the rich could take care of the homeless in the States, she replied that that was true of all countries, not just the US. She said ONE person in each country had the wealth to elliminate the homeless in their country.
