Post Sweet Sorrow

This episode was pretty good The best line of the episode goes to Jo:

"We're in a room full of lucky people"

Close runner up goes to Blair:

"Natalie, put something in her mouth"

Tootie was adorable in this episode. She reminded me of my baby brother. He used to get attached to every scuzzy boyfriend I brought home in high school too.

On another note, I am really getting tired of every show that centers around Jo having a scene with her crying. Can't she just be a happy kid for 30 minutes? Sheesh...

LOL @ Coily

You're in luck. In tonight's episode "From Russia WIth Love" it mostly centers around Nat, but Jo does get awful angry and yelles @ her. Oh, and I don't think she cries in "Dear Me", either!

------------------
Mr. Bradley: .....and that girls is the thrill of victory!

Tootie: Or the agony of DA FEET!

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

(Tootie starts rambling)

Natalie (thinking): I am going to nail her mouth to the floor. I can picture it now there'd be a spike through her tongue, but the lips would still be moving. She'd just keep whining on and on about how she'd never do that to me because she's my best friend. And if it made me feel guilty about nailing her mouth to the floor than she's glad I did it and......
(stops and realizes everyone's looking at her)

I agree with you, it was getting a little annoying with her crying, but Tootie was so cute ! I am looking forward to tonight's whole hour of "The Facts of Life"

ya know what's weird...okay that WHOLE episode was how Jo couldn't stand the fact that she was almost cheating on Eddie and in the beginning Eddie was kinda pissed about the whole marriage school project and then he goes out and gets married behind Jo's back! that's why i really don't like Eddie...grrrrr! lol

You see? I really think the show's producers got really psyched when they knew how well she could cry on cue, so at the beginning they decided to have her cry like every other episode. Poor kid, she spent her first 3 seasons of the show being traumatized!

well i think its cute tos ee her cry cuz its like shes got this tough outer exterior but she has like this soft sensitive side to her that she usually only lets out around mrs. garrett... the other tiems when she cried was infront of Blair (i think like 2 or maybe even 3 times) and infront of tootie once in teacher'd pet... i know that they made her cry a lot but htat was cuz she was the only one who cried ACTUAL tears... hehe... so they wanted to use her special talent... i mean blair was on the verge of crying a few times and stuff... but i don't know if she actually DID... but the thing is it is really hard to just start crying... but since nancy could do it they tried to use her talent... but if you don't liek the wishy washy stuff just wait till season 6 when it all stops...

------------------
jo: mrs. g gone on ahead I KNOW i can fix the problem
MRs. G: jo only twice in my life have i spoke in an arbitrary manner, once when my ex husband morgaged our home to pay the bookee, and now, GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE OR I'LL BEAT YOU WITH MY FRYING PAN!!!

Jo: Woaw Nat!! Nice Girls Don't Throw Trees!!!

blair: now jo i know we usually dont agree but that was a scuzy thing for your mother to do!
tootie: wahts so scuzy about it!?!? dont you read the national enquirer, some of the best people are Shacking up!!
mrs. g: TOOTIE!!! im surrounded by x-rated kids!!!

I don't know, because she does'nt cry THAT much. Yes, she does cry by far more than everyone else, but I don't get annoyed by it or anything. I guess i'm not really bothered by it because it's such a departure from her everyday character. I hope that makes sense to you guys...
Good episode otherwise.

Eddie made Jo cry, AGAIN! Now, I have said before that there is nothing wrong a good cry, and that hasn't changed, but, if Eddie can make Jo cry in every episode he's in then what does that tell you about the charactor? I give up! Eddie drives me more crazy than Jo's pretty face! I can't talk about him any more! I can't think about him any more!..... I've got to get out of here before I brake something!

LOL! Rick&Jo.

It really was a good episode, but the thing that gets me is the scene they edited out with Eddie waiting for Jo and Bob to get back, and he has an ice pack on his head. It shows it in the ending credits and I just can't help but wonder what happened there...

I agree with TVAddict about the crying thing. They were told she can cry, and they put those tears to work. I know it's really a gift to be able to do that, but I think they sorta over worked her. In "New Girl" the way she comes in all tough and stuff it sorta gives you the impression it would take alot to break her down, but...

Oh well! At least when she tells you off she does it for real

Natalie: Who asked you to defend my honor?

Jo: I think I'm gonna have to hit you.

All I can say is at least Eddie was better than Rick. Rick is just dumb.
And the whole crying thing, yeah they overworked her a bit, but hey, i'm all for a good cry. As long as it's good acting, tha's all I care about.

Hi everybody. I've been monitoring for a while now and finally feel comfortable enough to post. Jo's crying is really in keeping with the character. She's a sensitive kid from the Bronx who's had to bury her emotions 'cause of her environment. By the time she got to Eastland she had a lot of stuff buried and all the tears the first couple of seasons were really the release of years of pent up emotions. It also didn't hurt that the producers knew a good thing when they saw it.
