Default Knock Knock...Wedding?! (new fanfic)

I wrote this a couple of nights ago and I'm posting it here to see how other people like it. It is my 2nd attempt at a fanfic. I'm posting it scene by scene, to see how you like it. Feel free to post your comments or make suggestions.

--Scene one--
One day, Iola Boyland was wondering if she would ever find that "Mr. Right" that everyone was talking about. Suddenly, while she was wondering about it, her telephone rang. She picked it up and it was her best friend, Thelma Harper. "Iola, what are you doing today?" "Nothing, Thelma. Just babysitting mother, like usual, why?" "I think I have found the match for you in a man! He seems just perfect for you." "Does he enjoy making arts and crafts like me?" "Well, no, Iola, you can't expect every man that falls into your trap to like arts and crafts!" "But you said he was perfect for me!" "Good Lord, Iola, just trust me on this one, will you?!" "Thelma, remember the last time I thought I had Mr. Right? He turned out to be Mr. Wrong. Then, Lars came to me while we were in Hawaii, and then we had to leave for home. Thelma, I've given up on finding the right man." "Oh, Iola. I know it's hard for you. But, come over to my house at 5:00 for dinner and you'll see what I mean about this one." Thelma hangs up. Iola thought about going over to Thelma's all day. Around 3-ish, she decided she would be brave and go on over, she had nothing else to do, and she could always call and check on her mother.

--End Scene 1--
I'll post scene 2 when I get some feedback on scene 1. I'm also gonna put this on my MF site.

Thank ya! Here's more...

--Scene 2--
5:00 came. Iola was ready to go. She told her mother where she was going, and, surpringsly, she let her go. So, she collected herself and went on over. When she reached the door, she didn't say her usual, "Knock, Knock," like she always does. Instead, she rang the bell. Thelma answered it right away. "Well, Iola, don't you look nice! How's your mother?" "Fine. She's lying in bed all day, but you know how mother is." "Yeah. Come on in, Iola, and meet this man!" Iola walked a little farther in the house, she saw a man sitting on the sofa, waiting for her. She looked over to him and saw that it was Lars Johansen, whom she met in Hawaii!! They both looked at each other for a long while, then Iola said, "Thelma! How did you get him to come?!" "Well, when we were in Hawaii, Lars asked for my phone number while you weren't looking. So, the other day, he called me up and he wanted to see you again, to ask you something. I think I'll leave you two alone now."

--End of Scene 2--
Scene 3 coming soon! That's the last scene I have written.

--Scene 3--
Lars finally spoke. "Iola, I have been lonely without you ever since you left." "Oh, Lars, you don't know how long I've been waiting to hear this!" "Iola, I hope you think of me highly." "Oh, I do, Lars, I do!" "Well, then, Iola, I want to ask you to marry me." Iola stared at him. She didn't think she understood him. Then, she said, "Sure, I'll marry you! Will you excuse me?" She then rushed to the kitchen where Thelma was. "Thelma, Lars asked me to marry him and I said yes!!!" "Well, I told you, Iola, that this was the right man!" "You sure did!" Lars and Iola decided to get married in Thelma's house, since she was the one who invited Lars over. After the wedding, they went to Hawaii for the honeymoon and lived happily ever after.
