Default Emmy Tribute Update from ETonline...

Straight from the Entertainment Tonight website:

""Emmy executive producer DON MISCHER tells ET that JOHN RITTER's family will not be attending Sunday's 55th annual ceremony, which is expected to include a tribute to the late actor who died last week. According to Mischer, the family feels it's still too early and the tribute might be too overwhelming, so they will watch from home. Also, ET has learned that there will not be an on-air reunion between SUZANNE SOMERS and JOYCE DeWITT for the segment, as it is expected to span his entire career and not focus specifically on "Three's Company."""

Even so, "Three's Company" was a huge part of his career, and Joyce and Suzanne a big part of his life. This is kind of irritating... I really wanted to see this happen...

That's horrible. I really thought they were gonna do it. That would have probably been great for John to see from up above. What a dissapointment. Maybe they'll still surprise us. Let's hope.

I'm probably going to get a LOT of people here mad at me for this, but personally I'm GLAD that Suzanne and Joyce aren't going to "kiss and make up" at this Sunday's Emmy ceremony....That Emmy tribute is going to be about JOHN, not THEM, and having them appear together for the first time in YEARS would have people sitting home saying, "Oh LOOK....the girls have made up and are friends again!", taking away from the tribute's purpose and focus...namely John Ritter's life and career.

I WOULD like to see Suzanne and Joyce reconcile and walk out on a stage together...but NOT at this very special and emotional Emmy ceremony....Perhaps at a later date, like on a "Three's Company" retro special, but just not this Sunday.

On Good Day Live today she was asked about the Emmys and she said she heard the rumors that Joyce and Her were going to be there but she said she hadn't been contacted about it. She said she would be willing to do it but I had a feeling it wasn't going to happen.

Default I understand, tho

Even though it annoys me that they hate to talk about Three's Company and even though it was a HUGE part of his career, I think John didn't exactly love the fact that it followed him even after it was over. I think he wanted to go above and beyond that and it was hard when you heard the theme every time you were on a show. But it's still a bit annoying because if it werent for Three's Company, he wouldnt have been as famous.

I understand where you're coming from. Maybe someday when they do make up they can have their own bio on everything including John. You know what's really sad, they can never have a Three's Company reunion now. That would've been something to see.

Default there wuz gonna be 1

I dont know if you guys know, but Suzanne was planning a reunion of the three of them to be aired during Christmas 2004. It was either going to be a special edition "Best Of" DVD or a television special with all of their favorite moments. Suzanne had just shared the idea and plans with John when it happened. I think they should still have it, but dedicated to John.
I Love John.

Where did you hear about a reunion? You should give some more details.

Default Wow!!

I didn't see the Suzanne Somers interview on Friday but I did hear that she was surprised that noone told her anything about coming to the Emmy's. I actually think that alot of this has to do with Ritter's family not attending. It's still too early for them and Joyce and Suzanne should definitly get together and squash what happened between them and start fresh. They should get together for the second season dvd of Three's Company!! That would be great!!
