Here in RI the popular Hollywood Gossup TV show ET is aired at 1230pm, and I believe again during the evening hours. Anyway, I was listening today and the issue of TV shows going off the air after a major character passes, as John Ritter was being discussed. Well, they mentioned and showed clips of several other shows which lost major characters and were later cancelled....one of them was Freddie....
I just thought I would post this in case anyone had the opportunity to catch the show. |

Thanks for the info! I want to see it but may not cuz of the hurricane coming here In VA. We may be inland but are getting lots of rain & are supposed to get the wind from it. Yuck! Anyway they will probably not show it at 7 pm due to hurricane coverage which is all that's on tv around here. They do show it again at 1:30 or 2 or 2:30 m so hopefully I can see it then providing we don't olsoe electricity. If I miss this I will be so upset. Oh well, I hope we make it thru the storm okay. Prayers & best wishes for those in the storms path. Hope none of ya'll are in it...
Welcome back! Do stop by more often!

Has anyone here seen the John Ritter E! True Hollywood Story? He mentions that when "Three's Company" was starting, Freddie Prinze committed suicide. John walked around the *dressing room and realized that if he wanted happiness, he wasn't going to find it by starring in a sitcom.
*I'm not sure if he meant his dressing room or Freddie's. Just another Freddie/John connection. By the way, on ET did they mention the death of Phil Hartman. On "NewsRadio" he died after the fourth season. They brought in Jon Lovitz to replace him, but it didn't work. And was cancelled after the fifth season. NewsRadio's my favorite show. CATM is up ther in the top ten. |

Adam, I remember that interview. John Ritter was talking about Freddie's former dressing room. John used the same one. I thought it was wonderful of him to mention Freddie and the lesson that all actors (all people, really) could learn from his fate.
