After seeing what happened to John Ritter and hearing the news that his show will continue without him, what if Ted passed away? Could Cheers have continued without him and replace him?

I don't think Ted could ever be replaced. Thats why Cheers ended because he wanted it to end, so it did. If anything would have happened to him early on I don't think that Cheers would have survived. Maybe he wasn't the only main character but he was a big support to the show and one of it's biggest stars.

I think the show would have gone on, but shifting Woody to the lead role alongside Diane.
No relationship, maybe a new character. But Diane and Woody starring. Thank God it didnt though. |
