But with my luck it was neither one lol.

Yeah. I'm with you on that. And plus, I only watched occasionally in 1998, so the whole beginning of that crappy Gina storyline is a blur to me (one I would like to forget about completely). The Posession was great stuff, lol, really campy and wacky, but so much happened it's hard to remember it all.

I think 1998-1999 were the two years I only watched every so often. I loved (well, most of) Reilly's stuff. Langan's era was, ugh. Some of it was good, but most of it was, ugh. LOL. I absolutely loved most of Brash and Cwikly (minus the alien twin crap). Dena Higley was a waste.

Anyway, back on topic, LOL... Yeah, I've been watching since 1992, at least. I remember more from 1994 +. The Paris and Posession stories were some of my favorites, but so much went on, it's hard to recall everything.

This might be getting off topic, but what are some of your faves and least fave storylines?

Reilly (late, late-1992-1997):
LOVED: Almost everything he did, lol. It could get maddening and frustrating, but there was always resolution (unlike his soap Passions )
HATED: The only storyline I despised, and I know, even though he was exiting in 1997, he created it, was the Roman illness. Even though it was much more bearable than his rip-off on Passions.

Sussman-Morina (1998-1999):
She wasn't bad. I loved the Mike/Carrie stuff. I hated Austin Peck's Austin with Carrie. Yawn. The Gina stuff was absolutely unbearable. I hated.

Broderick (1999):
Too little of her work to remember. I believe she was just the transition between Morina and Langan. I can't even remember what month(s) she wrote.

Langan (1999-2002):
3 years that got worse each year. I really did love the teen scene early on, but in late 2000 I couldn't stand it. Too much force-feeding. The Jenn return was flat. The sub-sex was unbearable. The Gina nonsense was pure horror until it was close to wrapping up. I loved Stef/Hope in the turret, Gina taking Hope's place. If only Shawn DIDN'T survive that fall BUT, I loved Bill Hayes during Hope's "death". That was a plus. The coronation, was a bit much, lol. He ruined Jack, imo. He wrote off Lucas. It was a mess. Some of it was good, but most of it was pure crap. (I think his stuff last aired in Feb 2002). The baby switch was his best, though B&C wrapped it up much better than he could.

Brash & Cwikly (2002-2003): First aired, I believe in March. Good stuff. The baby switch wrap-up was fantastic. Loved it. Sami's downfall in Vegas was priceless. The alien twins were their worst storyline. Tony's return wasn't the greatest. Neither was Billie's. The Hope-Larry-Bo stuff was great. Seeing Shane was a plus. I loved most of their stuff. Broe was great. Chloe's leukemia was good.

Dena Higley (2003): God. The show was so unrecognizable. I only kept up with recaps. Watching hardly anything. The Lumi stuff was good, but too rushed, imho. Long time coming, but rushed. Lucas as Tony's right-hand-man was stupid. Echelon reeked. Bo and Hope as Bounty Hunters was ridiciulous. Jack and Jenn "In Da House" was such a waste. Philip working in ISA was laughable. Kate and Roman were rushed. It was just crap.
