Question C.C. "cracked"?

Okay, I watch "The Nanny" when I can, and now C.C. has been "taken away"...in the show's story line, did she actually have a nervous breakdown or go insane or somethin'?

Please don't take this wrong, I love the show, I just don't understand this plot point. Maybe if I'd gotten to see the right episodes I'd know, but I'm kinda in the dark here.

I know she comes back cause I've seen where she and Niles agree to get married in a scene with an elevator, but right now I keep hearin' these jokes about "Miss Babcock cracking" and am kinda lost...

I'm new to the show, but from what I've read/heard, CC's "breakdown" was an excuse to allow Lauren Lane (the actress) to take time off while she had a baby. The cause given in the series as to why CC lost it was Fran and Max's engagement. I thought it was pretty funny actually, seeing Niles all depressed but not admitting it!

THANK you Kristen, I wondered if Lauren had been pregnant! I thought she looked heavier in the body and face in these shows...now it all makes sense! lol

And yeah, that was pretty funny stuff with Niles mopin', and then them all "gettin' it on" toward the end, lol!

There is an episode towards the beginning of Lauren Lane's pregnantcy, when she began to really show, that shows her carrying a "BABY" sandwich board and saying somethign to the effect "Don't you hate it when those shows try and hide someone's pregnancy?". SHe made several other comments in that episode about the same thing. ou can tell then later as her pregnancy progressed she wears maternity clothes. They diddn't make a lot of attempt to cover and hide her pregnancy and there were quite a few fat joke zingers from Niles in the meantime. There were several ocasions where she carried a large bag or sat behind the plants/table/desk but really her pregnancy was pretty obvious I thought.

Also, if you are interested I do have the complete Nanny set, mostly in order, on tape. You can email me for details.

The blue sky, the desert earth, stretching out into the eerie infinity. A beautiful never-ending nothing.

I saw that episode where CC made that comment about shows hiding pregnancies. Very clever! Nanny Fine, are your episodes from CBS or Lifetime? Because I might want to get some from you!

They are LIfetime

I don't have Oy To The World (the animated episode) because Lifetime does not show it. I've tried several times to buy it off eBay but it's very expensive!
