Yahoo News is running a story about the plan to continue John Ritter's show "8 Simple Rules..." without him. It mentions other instances of shows continuing after the deaths of their stars, including CATM.

Thanks Mariposa! As a fan of John Ritter hearing the news of this death struck me hard. John as well as Freddie will remain alive if we keep his memory in our hearts!

It is a hell of a way to be remembered, but it seems that it is to be. John joins Freddie, Redd and Phil as people who were irreplaceable in their hit shows. It is sad, but I can picture the four of them up in heaven sitting around telling jokes and generally have a great time. For the fans left down here, they will never be replaced in our hearts.

The show won't be with same without John. I wish Freddie could've lived as long as John. So sad...

I have to say a big round of kudos to the writers of 8... for having the tact and compassion for their stars and the fans of the show for dealing with this tragedy in the way it should be with truthful ness and allowing everyone to grieve the loss instead of hidoing it behind a story line like the writers of CATM Did!

Amen sister! I had figured they would play what episodes he had already taped & then cancel it. I'll probably still watch but it won't be the same...

I will probably watch it for a while anyway just out of respect for the professional way the writers are dealing with it...the show was so great i need to see it

I am anxious to see the new season of eight simple rules. I know that they will pay a fitting tribute to John on the show. I wish that they could of done that for Freddie on Chico and the man.
Today would of been John's 55 Birthday! Happy Birthday John! We love you!

Love the avatar honoring both John and Freddie! That pic of Freddie was taken only a day or so before he died, as I understand. But it is still a beautiful pic--such a wonderful smile, and the sunglasses on his head is such a sexy look!

Didn't know this was John's birthday--he was born the same year as my OTHER dark angel...
