Default Which Sitcom Mom and Dad Would You Choose As Your Own?

I would choose Steven and Elyse Keaton from Family Ties. They not only loved thier kids but adored each other. They seemed to really listen and were always open for discussion. I think they made a nice family.

Jason and Maggie Seaver from Growing Pains.

My family was/is so dysfunctional that I would dream of having parents like them. Heck parents like the Connor's woudl have been great because they at least paid attention to their kids.

Carla Tortelli LeBec ~Cheers

She could be harsh sometimes, but she really did love her kids! and would fight to the end for them. Plus Carla is such a great mom.

I alot of people say "Lucy and Ricky" Why? They are always fighting and or bickering, she is always smoking around him. lucy's always running off on little ricky, and she is probably more concerned about meeting movie stars than being with her own kid.

Don't get me wrong, as a couple I think lucy and ricky are great...but as parents...I don't really do.

Carla is the best

That would probably be my choice, too.

Yeah, that probably is Lucy's biggest flaw.

The Brady's were great parents, heck, Alice probably made a better single-parent. So, I choose Alice. ... But happy with my own family, and parents.

Alan and Amy Matthews, hands down! They were the most perfect parents *anyone* could wish. They were not always immediately forgiving, like most sitcom parents, they punished their kids when they did things wrong (unlike Danny Tanner who practically didn't punish Stephanie for driving Jesse's car into the kitchen) and they got angry and even yelled at times. But that's what makes them so realistic. And still they were the most understanding, loving and caring parents. I wish I had a dad like Allan. I really miss that kind of father for me.

Finally someone who agrees with me on this!

It is weird, but I'd actually trade my dad for Allan.
