Default PRIME presents "Three's Company" mini-marathon Fri. Sept. 19 7:00-10:00 pm

PRIME TV in Canada is joining other stations in North America in saluting the late, great John Ritter by airing 6 back-to-back episodes of "Three's Company" this Friday, Sept. 19 from 7 to 10 pm Eastern Time.

The episodes are as follows:

7:00 pm---MAN ABOUT THE HOUSE (PILOT EPISODE)---March 15, 1977

Chrissy and Janet find Jack sleeping in their bathtub.

The title is from the British TV series "Man About The House" that "Three's Company" is based on.

7:30 pm---STRANGE BEDFELLOWS---Oct. 4, 1977

Jack awakens, after a party thrown in the girls' absence, to an unlikely bedfellow---Mr Roper!

8:00 pm---A CAMPING WE WILL GO---Nov. 6, 1979

Jack goes camping with an aspiring actress who thinks he's a film director.

8:30 pm---JACK AND CHRISSY HANDCUFFED---Jan. 29, 1980

Chrissy and Jack wind up handcuffed together.

9:00 pm---UPSTAIRS DOWNSTAIRS DOWNSTAIRS---Oct. 21, 1980

Jack tries to entertain four different women in three different apartments.

9:30 pm---NOT SO GREAT IMPOSTOR---Jan. 13, 1981

Jack impersonates a famous chef who, it turns out, was in hot water.

Personally, I think PRIME made some excellent choices!

PRIME is a Canadian channel that airs such classic series as "All In The Family", "MASH", "The Cosby Show", "Bewitched", and "I Dream Of Jeannie". You can watch it if you live in Canada or if you have a dish that carries Canadian stations.

That's It!! Only THREE HOURS of Three's Company? I was hoping a much more better tribute to Mr. Ritter rather than Three hours. I was hoping that Prime would devote an entire Saturday or Sunday tribute marathon for him. Rather than the same old reruns that I see every weekend. I'm very disapointed in this network's decision. They never try to do anything for their viewer's requests. All they ever care about is their TV ratings.

Are these episodes uncut? I heard Canadian stations actually show the whole episodes. If you are taping this, would you be able to make me a copy?

Jenya,

You think that's bad? That's nothing! PRIME also airs "The Beverly Hillbillies" each Saturday afternoon at 12:00 and 12:30. When Buddy Ebsen died a few months ago, I expected some sort of tribute or at least an acknowledgement of his death at some point, but the episodes still ran without one word about his death, and were shown as if nothing had happened. At least this time, they made an effort, however small it seems. I'm sure that if both shows were carried by TVLand Canada instead of PRIME or DejaView, both men would have received the proper tributes that they deserved. It's just a matter of two different companies having two different ideas. If that's the case, it's not hard to see who's better.

I remember that, Sal. Nothing was mentioned on Prime when Mr. Ebsen passed away. I can't understand why Prime devoted almost an entire memorial for Mr. Carroll O'Conner's death with All In The Family, and they ignore other great actors. Nick@Nite in the U.S. did a fantastic job with their tribute to Mr. Ritter. They also aired his other comedies he did as well as Three's Company. I don't think Prime or Deja View will go bankrupt if they devote an entire day or at least 6 hours for Mr. Ritter. They always repeat the other classic TV shows on their channels at least three times a day. This is big disgrace to their viewers!
