Default Random the angel -- Happy Days spinoff

you guys probably don;t even recall another Happy days
appearance by Random the angel who fought for Fonzie's soul--
his spinoff called "Out of the Blue" was another spinoff.
it was gonna be a vehicle for comic Jimmy Brogan
It bombed

Happy Days begat

Laverne & Shirley (they started as guests- then came back)

Mork (guest starred--and later returned whne More was a bigger hit than Happy Days)

Blansky's Beauties (borrowed Happy Days/Laverne cast members
and had Nancy Blansky visit as Howard's cousin)

Out of the Blue -- an angel came to Arnolds-- then had his own show that flopped

Out of the Blue was not a Happy Days spinoff, it crossovered with Happy Days on September 19, 1979. Out of the Blue premired on September 9, 1979. Random never appeared on Happy Days before September 9, 1979. Therefore, it was in no way connected to Happy Days. Just a crossover episode.

Default Out of blue was a PLANNED spinoff

don't be all spun, dude

TV Tome says
I have read all the rumors about this show. Some people say that it is a spin-off of Happy Days, some people say it's a spin-off of Mork and Mindy, and some people even say it was just a show on it's on that has crossovers with these two shows. I have found out that this is indeed, a spin-off of Happy Days. The pilot episode which aired on Happy Days aired after the first episode of Out of the Blue because of pre-emption, but it originally was supposed to serve as the pilot. This show lasted for seven episodes (eight counting the pilot on Happy Days).

How can it be a spinoff when Random never appeared on Happy Days before September 1979?-LOL When Random appeared on Happy Days, that was his first appearance.

Default don't be so technical

It was PLANNED spinoff by the same producers --
who conceived the character/show and then said
how can we launch him from a HAPPY DAYS story.

If the pre-emption had not occured , then Random would've
been seen (AS PLANNED) in Arnolds Diner first --

fine, you can call it a "Planned-Spinoff that accidentily Spun Out a week before the lead Spun back to Happy Days."

I'm dizzy
