Giants always finds a WAY TO BLOW A GAME. I didn't like that soft defese they played when Dallas had the ball with 11 secods eft in regulation. This is why i wanted the Giants to score a TD instead of a Pointless FG. I HATE FG"S

If you are a true football fan, you have seen your team break your heart on more than one occasion, and you just deal with it.

I am a Dallas fan and watched the game with my friend who is a Giant fan, and during this seesaw of a game neither one of us expressed that this was the end if our team lost.

You know it hurts but that's the nature of the game.
I have been a Cowboys fan my whole life and when they blew it in the fourth quarter I was not freaking out like I would have as a kid. But even then I never renounced my team.

After Dallas went 1-15 in Jimmy Johnson's first year, you know what I did?
I bought tickets to a Dallas game that next season, and flew from New Jersey to go see them.

The Giants aren't losing any fans because you have to face that fair weather fans were never fans at all.

It was the way they loss last night. You have to remember that th Giants blew a game in the playoffs on the road and fans are trying to erase that horrible loss out of their mind. And then you have the Giants lose to Quincy Carter and the Cowboys. This is the year the Giants are supposed to content for the Super bowl and when u ose to Dallas at home on Monday night, they can't be considered a serious contender. They need a new QB BAD!!!!

So true. When Detroit finally does win a Super Bowl and everyone around here starts praising the Lions and saying how great they are, all I'll have to say to most of them is, "Where were you during those years when we only won 2 or 3 games?" At least I'll know I was a true fan and stood by them no matter what, and as mr roper said, by sticking with your team through the tough times, it makes it feel even better when they finally do win the Super Bowl.

When Dallas was bad back in the late 1980's and early 1990's, It seemed like I was the only Cowboy fan on earth. Then when they started winning superbowls, everybody jumped on their bandwagon. That first superbowl they won in 1992 was so sweet because I had supported them during the bad times. I know its been longer with Detroit but I believe they are a rising team. If they win a superbowl, just watch all the Lions fans suddenly appear. It will feel great knowing that you are a true fan and not a bandwagon one.

Yes, even though locally the Lions have a bigger and more loyal fan base than most would think, it will be so easy to tell who the real fans are when they start winning. For some reason this reminded me of something I read in the paper right before we hired Mariucci. I liked the whole article but especially this part that I feel like posting:

Detroit Lions in football is equivalent to the Toronto Maple Leafs in hockey and the Boston Red Sox/Chicago Cubs in baseball. Don't know what the eqivalent in basketball would be.

Teams that have very passionate fans that have never won, or won long, long ago.
