I love it when a small local station includes Classic TV shows as part of their daily lineup, providing a temporary welcome alternative to trashy tabloid shows (Jerry Springer, Jenny Jones); boring talk-show hosts (Ellen DeGeneres, Sharon Osbourne); made-for-TV judges; and the always-annoying Dr. Phil.
So far, I have heard of the following stations that have taken advantage of this opportunity and have become better for it: CTS (Toronto); NOW TV (Vancouver); and ME-TV (Chicago). If you know of any more, feel free to include them here as part of this thread. Better yet, if you know of any that broadcast over the Internet, I'd like to hear about them, too. Before that happens, I would like to add another station to that list and that would be WNLO Channel 23 in Buffalo, NY. This month, they have added "Green Acres"; "Mr Ed"; and "The Addams Family" to their program line-up but you'll have to get up pretty early to see them, so I would suggest you try taping them the night before. Here's when they come on: 6:00 AM Green Acres 6:30 Mr Ed 7:00 Addams Family Now if only they can do something about the rest of the day. They are, after all, unfortunately for them, a UPN station. |

Denver isn't too bad with classic shows.
Taxi and Charles in Charge air on my local FOX. Andy Griffith and I Love Lucy air on my local UPN. Lassie, The Lone Ranger, Mister Ed, Leave it to Beaver, Green Acres, The Rifleman, and Cosby air on some religious channel. I've also seen Mama's Family on the schedule a few months back. |

Dayton and Cincinnati (I'm in between the two) don't have s**t. Every single one of my local stations shows Seinfeld, Friends, or Drew Carey.

Richmond, Virginia doesn't have anything either. All they show are shows from the mid to late 90's until now in 2003.

Independent TV station WTLW 44 in Lima, OH, shows The Andy Griffith Show, I Love Lucy, and Little House on the Prairie. Most of its programming is religious.
