Can we upload our own avatars? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I'm kind of new to this type of message board format. I've seen a lot of what look like custom avatars floating around. So can I upload my own? I'm thinking of uploading a lost boys movie poster for my avatar if I can.

click on

, then go to 'Edit Options', and at the bottom of the page click to change avatar.

Thanks! I've used 1 other php message board before, but it was a lot different than this. Getting the avatars uploaded was quite different.
