Default History of TGIF

does anyone know of anywhere on the net that lists the TGIF year-by-year lineups from the past.

I used to live for that Friday night block on ABC when I was a kid growing up. I'm glad to see it's being resurected this fall, but I doubt it can live it up to the greatness and impact on the original TGIF days.

"Full House" used to be on the TGIF lineup from 1987 until 1992 where the show moved into Tuesdays from 1992 until the show's end in 1995. I believe "Two of a Kind" was also used to be on the same TGIF lineup from 1998 until 1999 where the show ended just one season.

IMO, Fall 1989 was the strongest of those, featuring Perfect Strangers, it's brand-new spinoff Family Matters, Full House, and Just the Ten of Us.

This was my favorite! I remember waiting all week for it to come on. I also remember that Just the Ten of Us didn't come on every week for some reason, and it used to be so disappointing!

Thanks TVAdam. "Full House" is still a favorite when it was from TGIF from 1987 to 1991 before moving into Tuesdays replacing "Who's the Boss?" on its timeslot.

I don't know if "20/20" was actually considered a TGIF show, but that's how I always topped off the night.

I would have added the rest of the schedules, but I can't find my book, with that info in it right now.

I grew up with TGIF around 1990-1993, so my favorites include Full House, Family Matters, Perfect Strangers, Step By Step, and Dinosaurs, among many others.

IMO, that whole era is very strong. At the least, every fall lineup had at least 3 really good shows.

That was my favorite, I never was a Family Matters fan, but loved Mr. Belevedere. RIP CHRIS HEWITT.

1988, 1989, and 1993 were the best TGIF line-ups. The last season of TGIF wasn't that bad either.

Fall 1987(corrected)

8pm ET-Full House
830pm ET-I Married Dora
9pm ET-Max Headroom(1 hour)(Mr. Belverede took this slot in Late October, so it doesn't show up on the official Fall schedule)

Fall 1994

8pm ET-Family Matters
830pm ET-Boy Meets World
9pm ET-Step By Step
930pm ET-Hangin' With Mr. Cooper

Fall 1995

same as 1994

Fall 1996

8pm ET-Family Matters
830pm ET-Sabrina, the Teenage Witch
9pm ET-Clueless
930pm ET-Boy Meets World

Then they scrapped TGIF for the most part(Family Matters and Step By Step went to CBS)

Fall 1997

8pm ET-Sabrina
830pm ET-Boy Meets World
9pm ET-You Wish
930pm ET-Teen Angel

you can find all the network schedules from the beginning of TV to now, just change the "9798" to the year you want:
