Do you think having crushes are healthy or unhealthy? Do they serve any purpose? What do you think . . . that's the question!

I don't think they're unhealthy. It's a part of life. I think that anybody who's never had a crush, whether it be a 'real' person or a celebrity, doesn't have a heart.

Whether healthy or unhealthy isn't the point. It is pretty much involuntary like the hiccups. Almost impossible to stifle! My first major crush was on George Harrison when I was 14 years old!Lord, I had it so bad!

That's a little harsh, what if theyve never met anyone attractive?

ive realized that i never like guys for their looks, its always for their personality. it's not unhealthy to like someone but it is if youre so obsessed with them its taking over your mind.

My crushes can get so bad..lol especially when I was in school and you'd follow them around and stuff.

I think they're bad...especially when it gets to the point when you're stalking the person and they reject you more and more. It just really hurts

my crushes are unhealthy. *evil grin* i know everything 'bout ma crush.

even stuff im not supposed to know ^________^

and then all the other stuff i dont know about... i make up strange theories about it... and i got about like 300 recorded in this little notebook i have thats practically dedicated to ma currrrrsh! and it includes... like every stupid little thing they've said since i started stalking them... and then its got like what they wore and when they wore it... where i think they bought it... pictures!!!!! and a ****load of other wunderflull stuff!

but it is... really horrible, and sick! i need to stop before someone gets hurt!

I agree with you too, Sarah, that when someone becomes obsessed with them to the point of it taking over their mind.....thats not healthy at all.

I said nothing about being obsessed with somebody. You totally missed the point of what I was saying. What I meant about not having a heart(which I knew I would get flak from), is that I can't imagine never having a crush on ANYBODY in your life whether it be a 'real' person, a teacher, your coach, and especially a celebrity. So, you're saying you've never had a crush on a famous person? I've never known anybody who hasn't. I don't care how old or young a person, there has to be somebody out there that when you look at them, you just get this "swooning" feeling. That is what I meant. I'm in my 3?, have a serious boyfriend, but I have crushes on quite a few famous people.

I used to make clothing charts...down to which pair of socks and boxers he had on

Oh yeah, who hasn't crushed on a celebrity before? But I just don't consider that real because you don't know them personally. I think I had a real crush one time on this guy in the 6th grade, then I got to know him and he was a loser....so I think I've become too cautious since then.
