Wings on TVLand Sun Afternoon

TVLand has a special John Ritter tribute starting at 3 P.M. eastern time. It is starteing with an episode of Wings. Love Overboard
Casey's deadbeat husband (John Ritter) surfaces and begs her to take him back. I just noticed it, hope my friends on this board get to see this episode.

Good episode. I was really confused though. I've never seen a later episode. All the episodes I've seen have been in the first three seasons, so it took me a few minutes to figure everything out. But I have one question. Is Lowell in the later episodes or just in the first few seasons?

He left the show later On, I Never actually seen the episode but i heard he went into a Witness Protection Program.

I know what you mean about the afternoon airing....even when I watch my videotapes of "Wings" in the daylight hours it seems weird. "Wings" just seems like a nightime show to me....I feel the same way about "Cheers" and "The Honeymooners".

(I can watch other sitcoms like "I Love Lucy" and "Dick Van Dyke" during the day with no problem at all).

However, when you stop and think about it, when "Wings" was on USA, it was shown during the daytime (as well as evening) all the time!

Wings will always be a morning show for me, since I used to watch it at 11am every weekday on USA.

However, when I used to tape "Taxi" on N@N, it felt weird watching the show during the day.

I know what you mean! It would be soooo weird to watch Wings during the day! hehe. because I'm so used to watching it late every night, up in my bedroom, on my TV... it would seem too weird to watch it during the day. lol.
Oh, one time I watched it on the big TV in the living room because our cable was out, so I watched it off of DirecTV, which is only set up on the TV in the living room, and that even seemed wicked bizarre because I was so used to watching it upstairs in my room. hehe.

Oh, what's the difference WHEN or WHERE we watch "Wings"? Years from now when I'm a retired old guy, I'll be wearing a ratty old bathrobe, sitting in front of the TV, drooling on myself...and assuming that my VCR and videotapes hold out, I'll sit there watching "Wings" episodes all day....THAT's how I plan on spending MY "Golden Years"!
