the interviews?

Since I came to the series late...my inaugural episode was the Thanksgiving epi where Will comes out of the closet, I didn't know a lot of the background info.

I was so surprised to learn these things:

*W&G was the replacement for Mad About You
*W&G were supposed to be minor characters
*Megan auditioned to be Grace (BTW, good move not casting her in that role. I think she does a MARVELOUS job as Karen!)

Actually, the whole concept of Will and Grace was originally part of a sitcome involving 3 couples. 2 married couples and a gay guy/straight girl best friend couple. Network exectutives had no interest in the married couples and wanted to focus more on the Will and Grace couple. And the rest is history.

Yeh, I feel Megan is waaaay better suited as Karen than she would have been Grace.
